Angostura’s Amaro di ANGOSTURA® has won a gold medal in the Amaro category at The Spirits Business Liqueur Masters 2025, an international blind-tasting competition held in London, marking a significant global accolade for the Trinidad and Tobago–based producer.
The award was presented following blind tastings conducted by an international panel of judges at The Singer Tavern in London as part of the Global Spirits Masters series, organised by The Spirits Business magazine. Judges described Amaro di ANGOSTURA® as displaying notes of cola, pepper, dried herbs, bark and citrus peels.
This year’s competition attracted 82 entries from 40 companies worldwide, making it one of the most competitive editions to date. Only products that met strict quality benchmarks after blind evaluation were awarded medals, with gold reserved for standout entries within each category.
Acting chief executive officer of Angostura, Ian Forbes, said the award reflected continued international recognition of the company’s products. He noted that Amaro di ANGOSTURA® is crafted using Angostura’s aromatic bitters, premium spirits and natural herbs, and builds on a long record of international awards earned by the company’s rums and bitters.
Amaro di ANGOSTURA® is currently exported to several major markets, including North America, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and parts of Latin America, including Mexico.
Locally, the liqueur is available at all six Angostura Solera Wines and Spirits retail outlets, including locations in Port of Spain, Laventille, Chaguanas, Marabella and Trincity.
The latest gold medal adds to Angostura’s international profile and reinforces its position within the global spirits industry, as competition among premium liqueur brands continues to intensify.
