Plié for the Arts celebrated its tenth-anniversary regional tour with the Amalgamation Global Dance Gala.
The 2026 tour opened its first stop in Trinidad and Tobago on August 23 at NAPA, featuring a collaboration with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Trinidad & Tobago.
Led by artistic director and founder Marisa Benain, it features elite dancers from companies such as Complexions Contemporary Ballet, the New York City Ballet and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, alongside local and regional collectives.
The show then went on to Barbados and Jamaica. Local dancers Ysabel Kelly-Clarke and Christina Gooding auditioned through Caribbean School of Dancing to gain a place in the cast for Sunday night’s show and were featured in the opening dance entitled Bolero X.
