Kali­fa Mc­Collin of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go (UTT) Pa­tri­ots was named the 2026 ‘Most Valu­able Play­er’ of the Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League when the sea­son came to an end at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na in Tacarigua on Mon­day.

It was the third straight year that Mc Collin had copped the pres­ti­gious award af­ter do­ing so in 2024 and 2025 as well for the dom­i­nant UTT play­ers un­der the su­per­vi­sion of Dr Brid­get Mitchell-Adams, Head Coach of the UTT Pa­tri­ots Net­ball Club.

Mc­Collin was a key fac­tor in the UTT’s dom­i­nance of the Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion as she topped the in­di­vid­ual shoot­ing per­cent­ages with 83.9 per cent ahead of De­fence Force’s Joelisa Coop­er (83.6) and Sha­nia Mor­gan’s 79.4 per cent.

Dur­ing the sea­son, UTT dom­i­nat­ed the Pre­mier­ship com­pe­ti­tions, win­ning the Open­ing Day knock­out, League, Steve Sar­jeant Chal­lenge, Fast 5 and ‘Best Shoot­ing Team’ with 77.8 ac­co­lades as well.

In the end, Mc­Collin was al­so named to the Pre­mier­ship ‘MVP Team’ along with Jere­sia McEachrane (De­fence Force), Makay­la Grant (Po­lice), Melis­sa Box­ill (Re­boot), and Gen­e­sis Clif­ford (UTC) as well as the All Sec­tors League All-Star Team along with Sha­nia Mor­gan, Janeisha Cas­simy, Onel­la Jack Hill, Melis­sa Box­hill, Gen­e­sis Clif­ford, Tia Bruno, Shaquan­da Greene Noel, Jere­sia McEachrane, Crys­tal Ann George, and Mya Marie Mor­ris.
