Kalifa McCollin of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) Patriots was named the 2026 ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the Courts All Sectors Netball League when the season came to an end at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena in Tacarigua on Monday.
It was the third straight year that Mc Collin had copped the prestigious award after doing so in 2024 and 2025 as well for the dominant UTT players under the supervision of Dr Bridget Mitchell-Adams, Head Coach of the UTT Patriots Netball Club.
McCollin was a key factor in the UTT’s dominance of the Premiership Division as she topped the individual shooting percentages with 83.9 per cent ahead of Defence Force’s Joelisa Cooper (83.6) and Shania Morgan’s 79.4 per cent.
During the season, UTT dominated the Premiership competitions, winning the Opening Day knockout, League, Steve Sarjeant Challenge, Fast 5 and ‘Best Shooting Team’ with 77.8 accolades as well.
In the end, McCollin was also named to the Premiership ‘MVP Team’ along with Jeresia McEachrane (Defence Force), Makayla Grant (Police), Melissa Boxill (Reboot), and Genesis Clifford (UTC) as well as the All Sectors League All-Star Team along with Shania Morgan, Janeisha Cassimy, Onella Jack Hill, Melissa Boxhill, Genesis Clifford, Tia Bruno, Shaquanda Greene Noel, Jeresia McEachrane, Crystal Ann George, and Mya Marie Morris.
