Dean Ackin banged in a pair of goals to car­ry his tal­ly to five in four match­es to fire new­ly crowned cham­pi­ons Ul­ti­mate Events to a nar­row 2-0 blank­ing of last year's win­ners Se­cu­ri­ty Analy­sis Ser­vices (SAS) for a sixth straight win in the 54-60 Di­vi­sion ti­tle in the Queen’s Park Crick­et Club (QPCC) Eight-A-Side Foot­ball League at the Queen’s Park Oval, Tra­garete Road, Port-of-Spain, on Tues­day night (Sep­tem­ber 22).

The win was the sixth in as many match­es for Ul­ti­mate Events to move to a max­i­mum of 18 points with one match left to play against De­vel­op­ment Fi­nance, and sev­en points clear of The Brix while BYD is third with ten points, three more than fourth-placed SAS.

The Brix got a goal each from An­der­son Abra­ham, Michael Es­ca­lente, and Stephen George to edge past T Rex 3-2, with John Williams net­ting both items for the losers.

In the two oth­er match­es, BYD got one each from Jean-Paul Du Coudray and War­ren Stew­art in their 2-1 win over De­vel­op­ment Fi­nance, with Bar­ry Lewis scor­ing the lone re­ply, his joint league-lead­ing fifth of the cam­paign, while Car­pen­ter's Edge blanked Mar­itime Fi­nan­cial Group 2-0 with Michael Chap­man and Bar­ry Roach net­ting one each.

In the 46-53 cat­e­go­ry, lead­ers One Jabb/Ktreadz and Earth En­er­ji bat­tled to a 0-0 draw to stay top of the five-team with 11 points from five match­es, two more than Rose IT­SL, who trounced BioFreeze with Craig Smith scor­ing a pair of goals, and Troy Cor­reia, the oth­er.

In the 36-45 Di­vi­sion, Harts blast­ed On­board Freight & Lo­gis­tics 5-0 led by a hat-trick from Bene­dict Bar­rett, and one each by Luke Bib­by and Justin Claver­ie to move to 16 points from six match­es, six ahead of Shep­pard Se­cu­ri­ties, while Carib and CMA Lim­it­ed are next with nine points each, who have played four, four and five match­es.

Front-run­ners T-Vibez and Ex­hib­it One drew 1-1 in their top-of-the-clash in the Un­der-35 Di­vi­sion, with Ryan Mows­er and Chris­t­ian Lan­dreth-Smith the play­ers on tar­get for their re­spec­tive teams.

De­spite the drawn re­sult, T-Vibez re­mained top of the ta­ble with nine points from five match­es, one point clear of Ex­hib­it One while Food Drop is third with sev­en points, af­ter a 2-1 win over Steam thanks to items from Jor­dan Vieira and Luke Dar­went to can­cel out Steam's lone item from Charles Had­den.

Mur­phy Clarke main­tained their five-point lead at the top of the Over-60 Di­vi­sion fol­low­ing a goal­less draw with Steel Drum, while Jamieson and Fat Boys, as well as TSZ and de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Khan's Poul­try, all drew goal­less as well.
