Po­lice are prob­ing a home in­va­sion in Williamsville on Wednes­day dur­ing which a 44-year-old woman was beat­en.

Po­lice said around 9 am, the woman was at her Mayo Road home with her 74-year-old rel­a­tive, when four men, one armed with a firearm, ac­cost­ed her in the down­stairs apart­ment. They tied her hands and feet. 

One of the ban­dits dealt her sev­er­al blows about her body while she was tied up while the oth­ers stole her jew­ellery, cell phone, and wal­let.  

Her el­der­ly rel­a­tive came down­stairs and was re­strained by the sus­pects who took them up­stairs, where they stole a tele­vi­sion, more jew­ellery, a DVR, a tablet and an­oth­er phone. 

They left in the woman's black Hyundai Elantra, which was lat­er found aban­doned at Bon­tere Trace, Willis­mav­ille. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.

Teen girl in­jured as ban­dit stole her mom's car

 A 15-year-old girl was in­jured when a gun­man stole her moth­er's ve­hi­cle as she left a Chi­nese restau­rant in Bar­rack­pore on Wednes­day.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred out­side Kam Long Chi­nese Restau­rant on Rochard Dou­glas Road and was cap­tured on CCTV footage.

Po­lice said the sus­pect was stand­ing near­by when the 48-year-old woman re­turned to her ve­hi­cle around 5:15 pm. The woman's teen daugh­ter was seat­ed in the front pas­sen­ger seat. As the woman opened the dri­ver's door, the sus­pect ran up to her and pushed her to the ground. He then en­tered the ve­hi­cle. The woman's daugh­ter opened the door and jumped out, but went back in an at­tempt to re­trieve some­thing.

It was then the gun­man re­versed the ve­hi­cle and struck the 15-year-old girl be­fore dri­ving off. Po­lice said her foot was in­jured.

Of­fi­cers from the Bar­rack­pore Po­lice Sta­tion are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
