A sec­ondary school in Ma­son Hall, To­ba­go, has been closed fol­low­ing con­fir­ma­tion that a stu­dent at the school has test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19.

Min­is­ter of Health, Ter­rence Deyals­ingh MP, gave the up­date at the Min­istry’s press con­fer­ence, ear­li­er to­day, stat­ing that con­tract trac­ing in that case have been com­plet­ed.

He al­so not­ed that the stu­dent will be hos­pi­talised, lat­er to­day.

The sec­ondary school stu­dent is To­ba­go’s sec­ond pos­i­tive case in a month.

The THA’s Di­vi­sion of Health Well­ness and De­vel­op­ment re­port­ed over the week­end that To­ba­go had record­ed its first pos­i­tive case of COVID-19 in 30 days.
