Forty-six-year-old ab­duct­ed vic­tim Trinidad-born British cit­i­zen Za­heer Esat is still miss­ing

Esat, who is in Trinidad vis­it­ing his par­ents, was snatched by a gun­man on Fri­day in Cunu­pia. He owns a pri­vate school for trou­bled chil­dren at Lewis Carl­ton Brook, Hunt­ing Court, Leices­ter­shire.

Esat, his fa­ther and broth­er- in- law just left the Be­ju­cal Mosque, and was in a black Nis­san Note, dri­ving along War­ren Road.

When they got near the South­ern Main Road in­ter­sec­tion, around 1:50pm, a ve­hi­cle blocked their path, and an oc­cu­pant armed with a ri­fle ap­proached and or­dered them to low­er their heads. He then forced Esat from the back seat in­to the oth­er ve­hi­cle. Esat did not have his phone in his pos­ses­sion, po­lice said.

The An­ti-Kid­nap­ping Unit and Cen­tral Di­vi­sion po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
