A shoot­ing in En­ter­prise, Ch­agua­nas, on Thurs­day night has claimed the life of a man and in­jured a woman.

The de­ceased has been iden­ti­fied as Sha­keem “Wet Mon­ey” Breedy.

The un­em­ployed 25-year-old of Cir­cu­lar Dri­ve in En­ter­prise, Ch­agua­nas, was seat­ed in the gallery of the home of a 50-year-old woman at Chi­nese Dri­ve, En­ter­prise, when, around 7.30 pm, two men emerged from a black Nis­san Ti­i­da and opened fire on them.

One of the sus­pects was armed with a pis­tol, while the oth­er had an au­to­mat­ic firearm.

The shoot­ers re­port­ed­ly fired at both vic­tims be­fore es­cap­ing in the wait­ing car.

A near­by res­i­dent rushed both to the Ch­agua­nas Health Fa­cil­i­ty, where Breedy suc­cumbed to his in­juries whilst un­der­go­ing emer­gency treat­ment.

The woman sus­tained three gun­shot wounds to the right leg.

She was treat­ed and ward­ed in a sta­ble con­di­tion.

Foren­sic ev­i­dence col­lect­ed at the scene in­clud­ed six 9 mm and 21 spent 5.56 mm shell cas­ings.

The mo­tive for the killing has been list­ed as drug-re­lat­ed.
