A 63-year-old man was killed after his vehicle crashed into a ditch off the highway near La Brea on Saturday.
He has been identified as Brian Aberdeen of Boodoosingh Lane, Rousillac.
Police said around 7.40 pm, Aberdeen was driving a black Wingroad in a southerly direction along the Archibald De Leon highway when he lost control near the Vance River flyover and collided with a traffic sign.
His vehicle flipped several times and landed 30 feet in a ditch.
Aberdeen was found about ten feet away from his vehicle, lying in the bushes. He died at the scene. The vehicle was wrecked to the La Brea Police Station.
Officers of the La Brea Police Station, South Western Division Patrol Unit and Point Fortin Fire Station visited the scene, and investigations are ongoing.
