Gunmen shot and killed a Syrian gyro vendor while he conducted sales in Fyzabad early Monday.
Police said the victim, 49-year-old Muath Nassar, was the proprietor of a gyro cart at the Valley, Southern Main Road, Fyzabad.
Investigators said around 1:35 am, his son, Sohaid Nassar reported hearing a loud commotion as he stood in the back of the building, followed by two loud explosions.
When the gunfire cleared, he found his father with gunshot wounds to the head.
Officers from the South Western Task Force, including Acting Sgt Chase, cordoned off the area. Homicide Region 3 officers visited the scene.
District Medical Officer Dr Archee visited the scene and ordered Nassar's body removed to the Forensic Science Centre where an autopsy will be done.
Police are asking members of the public to come forward with information regarding the murder.
