The pub­lic’s help is be­ing sought to iden­ti­fy the de­com­pos­ing body found on the banks of the San Juan Riv­er on Wednes­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice of­fi­cers were alert­ed via an anony­mous call around 3.45 pm that a par­tial­ly burnt body could be found in the vicin­i­ty of the bridge at Sad­dle Road, San Juan.

Of­fi­cers who went on en­quiries found the de­com­pos­ing body in a forest­ed area.

Po­lice have asked any­one with miss­ing rel­a­tives to con­tact the San Juan Po­lice Sta­tion to as­sist in iden­ti­fy­ing the vic­tim.
