The Ministry of Health is reporting 26 more lives have been lost to COVID-19 in its latest update, and that another 601 people have tested positive for the disease.
In its update for today, Sunday 5 December 2021, the Ministry notes that these latest deaths have pushed up the national death toll to 2,262 lives lost.
In addition, the 601 new positive cases, based on samples taken between December 2nd and 4th, mean that there are now 12,290 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, at this time.
More than 11,000 people currently are in home self-isolation, with 161 in step-down facilities.
