Earlier this month, the vessel National Geographic Orion visited T&T’s shores for the first time.

Its sister ship, the National Geographic Explorer, visited in 2022 when the country’s borders reopened after the pandemic and again in 2023.

For more than 25 years, the operators of the Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic fleet have had a relationship with Nanan Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours Ltd, an eco-tour company that has been conducting boat tours in the Caroni Swamp since the late 1930s.

The National Geographic special expedition cruise line offers destinations on all seven continents, and the recent visit was a special honour.

The hardworking staff of Nanan coordinated all arrangements for their tours to ensure that the visitors had the best possible experience.

Guests and staff from the Orion said they were extremely pleased with their tours in T&T and the warmth and hospitality of the citizens with whom they interacted.
