Marjorie Sheila Thomas née LeBlanc. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of retired registered nurse, Marjorie Sheila Thomas née LeBlanc, on 2nd January, 2025, just before noon, at The Lodge Nursing Home in Petit Valley. She was 92 years old. Second daughter of the late Marie Clarissa Ignacia LeBlanc née Best and wife of the late Pedro Bernard Thomas, Marjorie will be lovingly remembered as: Mother (and mother-in-law or *partnerly mother) of Gabriel Thomas (Aurelia) & (Marcel) & (*Donna), Paula Thomas, the late Mark Thomas (Victra), Maria Defreitas née Thomas (Dexter), Leslie Thomas, Paul Thomas (Masani), and Makeda Thomas (Bertram). Grandmother to Joel, Gabrielle, Raquel, Renisse, Darnel, Imani, Shari, Thecla, Jamaal, Sarena, Mia-Marie, and Garrett. Great-grandmother to Cameron, Kali, and Karter. Stepmother to the late Patrick Ferguson (and daughter Karen), Horace Wilmot Ferguson (and wife Sonny, along with sons Sean, Justin, and Dominic and their mother Belinda), the late Gregory Ferguson (and wife Sheila, with son Julian), the late Maureen Falzone née Thomas (and husband Frank, with daughters Ashley and Kimberly), and Peter Thomas. Marjorie was a sister (and sister-in-law) to the late Decima Allum Drakes née LeBlanc (the late Carlton Alexander Allum) & (the late Joseph Cleophas Drakes), Wayne LeBlanc (the late Barbara LeBlanc née Bereton), Henri LeBlanc (June), and Dane LeBlanc (Hazel) & (Annette). She was an aunt to Reagan, Marlon, Cathy, Wayne Jr., Yves, Roger, Colin, Michel Andre, Carlene, and Krystal; a first cousin to Patrick Flores and his late siblings Bernard, Louis, David, Everard, Curtis Flores and Lorraine La Barrie née Flores, along with their children, and grandchildren; and a special relative to Jasmine Flores and her children Noel, Ivana, Janeen and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her many relatives in the LeBlanc, Best, Phillips, Nicholls, Jacelon, Little, and Ward families, and by her in-laws in the Thomas, Mendez, Young, Smart, Johnson, DeMatas, Charles, Thompson, Oliveros, Beddoe, Kellar, and Reyes families. Marjorie was a dear friend to May Carmelita Raymond, the late Dr. Kathleen Spicer, Marita Hyde, Dr. Claire Belgrave, and others. She was also a supporter and confidant to Margaret Alibey and Genevia Jean Warden, a dedicated member of the Living Water Community, and a mother-figure to many. The funeral mass for the late Marjorie Sheila Thomas will take place at St. Ann's R.C. Church, St. Anns Ave, Port of Spain on Friday, 10th January, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at the Lapeyrouse Cemetery.
