As the aca­d­e­m­ic year comes to a close this week and stu­dents across the coun­try trade their class­rooms for the free­dom of the Ju­ly/Au­gust va­ca­tion, we mark the oc­ca­sion with a spe­cial jour­ney back to the school­yards of 1987 through 1990, to kick off a new From Our Archives page with our WE Her­itage Fea­tures every Mon­day.

We have opened up our vaults to cu­rate a col­lec­tion of time­less pho­tographs that cap­ture a vi­brant era in our ed­u­ca­tion­al his­to­ry.

We in­vite you to look close­ly at the faces on these pages, as you might just spot a fa­mil­iar smile star­ing back at you—per­haps a child­hood friend, a beloved teacher, or even your­self.

As we cel­e­brate the achieve­ments of to­day’s grad­u­at­ing stu­dents, we hope this vi­su­al time cap­sule of­fers a joy­ous trip down mem­o­ry lane and sparks a few fond rec­ol­lec­tions of the days when these halls were yours.
